This car is the only survivor of a very unique order of PCC streetcars. Ex-St Louis Public Service 1664 was one of a hundred cars built by St Louis Car in 1941 shown on November 29 2002. They were the first production PCC's built with standee windows, and had other features that didn't show up again until more postwar-style cars were built in 1945.
