937 (AM General, 1979) is the second in the parade of three buses passing through Jefferson Park, running south on Beacon Avenue with 4100 close behind. Like all but four of Metro's older trolleys (those four are all MAN articulateds) 937 is painted in one of the variations of the old livery long since superseded elsewhere on the system. This stretch is part of an extension built in connection with the renovation of 1979. From 1940 to 1970 (what is now route 36 lost its trolleys for several years) the terminus was at Spokane Street at the north end of the park. September 13, 2001 Don Galt photo
