Flyer V1109 at OTC before ceremonies on August 16th. V1109 is referred to as a "triesel". It was one of a batch of Flyer E-800 trolleybuses, built using reconditioned/rebuilt Brill propulsion components, in the mid-1970's. Originally a trolleybus, it was converted to diesel power after 1986 once the original Flyer trolleys had become surplus to needs. This coach still has trolley poles, as it is employed for removing ice from the overhead during periods of inclement winter weather. Courtesy the Kevin Brown collection
